NPC&M is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. This full-time, remote role focuses on estimating commercial construction renovation projects. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the management of the construction schedule, budget, quality, safety and relationships of a construction project in partnership with the Superintendent. This position is responsible for planning and coordination of all aspects of the construction process to effectively manage the risk at hand. This includes managing subcontractors, contract negotiations, client expectations, dispute resolution, material procurement and schedule production. In this role you may be required to travel up to 60% of the time. The position allows for the individual to work remote.

Responsibilities

• Own project delivery from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met on every assigned project.

• Develop and maintain the project schedule.

• Conduct Risk Analyzes for all projects and proactively identify risks and implement mitigation and recovery plans before they become client-facing issues.

• Track actual vs. budgeted costs weekly; maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and overall project budget.

• Select, contract, and manage subcontractors for each project, including pre-mobilization briefings and ongoing performance oversight.

• Serve as the primary client-facing representative on assigned projects, maintaining continuous communication on schedule status, risk items, and decisions.

• Oversee assigned Superintendents, ensuring they have what they need to run the site effectively, and hold them accountable to schedule, quality, and safety standards.

• Manage all Submittals, RFIs, RFPs, SWAs, EWOs, PCOs, and material procurement; maintain complete, organized contract files.

• Develop and issue monthly projections, change orders, and change proposals/pricing; create and monitor pay applications and cash flow.

• Implement the project close-out process on every job, including a complete, organized electronic project file.

• Collaborate with the Estimator during pre-construction to analyze scope, cost, and schedule feasibility and support accurate, buildable bids.

• Leadership experience is a plus.

Requirements | Skills

• Maintain a complete understanding of the job contract and all contract documents; ensure no contract activity goes unbilled.

• Conduct subcontractor pre-mobilization briefings covering safety protocols, noise/operating-hour restrictions, overnight work requirements, and live-environment conduct standards.

• Attend all owner, architect, and contractor meetings; ensure meeting agendas and minutes are produced and distributed promptly.

• Maintain regular site visits and daily communication with the Superintendent; review and respond to daily reports.

• Manage phasing sequences in live commercial environments to maintain client operations throughout construction.

• Ensure all billable milestones are invoiced promptly and all out-of-scope work is captured as approved change orders before execution.

• Participate in cultivating strong relationships with current and potential clients; develop industry relationships that support future business development.

• Keep abreast of competition, area growth trends, and market or legislative developments affecting NPC&M's regional operations.

• Run Superintendents assessments and provide prompt objective feed back.

• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

• Ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills a must.

Qualifications | Experience

• 10+ years of experience specifically in commercial construction

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)

• Experience in commercial construction and on-site experience in the management of new construction and the renovation of existing assets required

• Detailed knowledge of the construction process, project management, project scheduling, budgeting, accounting and procurement in order to manage a construction project required.

• Computer skills including: Procore, MS Office and scheduling software such as Project, Bluebeam or equivalent pdf platform.

• Valid Driver's License required

• Current OSHA training

Compensation

• Annual salary range: $91,250 – $134,125, commensurate with experience.
